A number of issues were raised at the meeting, including visas concerns, intellectual property and standardizations, which constitute trade barriers between the two countries. "We would happy to remove Israel from the Priority Watch List as related to IP, but we take this issue seriously and expect the Israeli government to be resolute in solving this issue." Regarding visas, the Ambassador expressed pessimism, estimating that Congress intends to minimize the number of countries eligible for a visa-waiver. |
