On July 29, 2025, representatives of the Innovation Working-Group of the Chamber’s Healthcare Committee, led by Committee Chair Avi Matan and Head of the Committee Idit Chernovitz met with Dr. Gal Goshen, Medical Director of the AI Center and Head of the Artificial Intelligence Academy at the Sheba Medical Center ARC, along with his team.

During the meeting, Dr. Gal Goshen presented the activities of the unit, which operates as an integral part of the innovation and transformation division of the medical center, in close collaboration with the hospital administration, the research fund, and regulatory bodies. The unit is engaged in internal development efforts as well as collaborations with technology companies, the pharmaceutical industry, and academia.

The discussion focused on key areas for collaboration, including: data-driven clinical trials, personalized prevention tools, AI-based therapeutic recommendations, and the establishment of national drug mapping systems.

Several directions for future joint activities between the Committee’s Innovation Working-Group and Sheba ARC were agreed upon, including the integration of industry representatives into joint initiatives with the Ministry of Health and the healthcare system.

The Committee’s Innovation Working-Group will continue to work with all innovation center managers at hospitals and Kupot Holim for the shared goal of improving patient care in Israel.
