Tel Aviv, August 18, 2024.  Amcham ICT Members Met with Amb. Steve Lang, U.S. Coordinator for International ICT Policy. Ambassador Lang and the U.S. State Department team provided an overview of the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy goals and the reasons for the visit to Israel and other countries in the region. The discussion covered several topics including robustness of the Israeli ICT sector, and its importance for the U.S. ICT companies a source of innovation. The business-government opportunities, both in Israeli government adoption of technology, and in harmonizing policy between the U.S. and Israel. Opportunities of both government and the business sector to use technology, and specifically AI as a vehicle for greater regional collaboration. The role of business in the bi-lateral U.S. – Israel relations and the fact that Israel is firmly rooted in the U.S. like-minded sphere. We look forward to continuing this dialogue, and to maintaining an open line of communications between Amcham and its members, and your bureau on these and any other topics.
