Lecture: New Regulations for Investors in the United States
Chamber members participated in a lecture – on New Regulations for investors in the United States – by Ben Davis, Treasury Financial Attache at the Consulate General of the U.S. in Jerusalem on Dec. 10.
Following the lecture, participants raised questions during a video conference call with representatives from the Foreign Investments Department at the U.S. Treasury Department.
The event took place at the offices of Shrem Fudim Kelner investment company in Tel Aviv.

" U.S. and Israel: 60 Years of Business Partnerships" – Dec. 2, 2008 More than 200 leading businesspeople from Israel and the U.S. participated in a conference at a conference, organized by the Chamber, on " U.S. and Israel: 60 Years of Business Partnerships," at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. Participants included Hon. Sallai Meridor, Israeli Ambassador to the U.S., who opened the conference, and David Rubinstein, Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Carlyle Group. David Brodet, former Director General of the Finance Ministry, and Eli Hurvitz, Chairman of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, presented the highlights of "Israel 2028: Vision and Strategy for Economy and Society in a Global World." According to this document, Israel will among the 15 leading countries in terms of income per capita, while raising its quality of life, preserving its values and strengthening ties with world Jewry. Participants were divided into five roundtable sessions:
The Israeli delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Chamber, Chemi Peres, and Hon. Danny Gillerman, outgoing Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. They participated in a two-day seminar organized by the America-Israel Friendship League in New York, visited Morgan Stanley, Madison Square Garden and McGraw-Hill. While in New York, the delegation opened trade on the New York Stock Exchange, which celebrated Israel Day. Following these discussions, the Chamber will hold forums, in Israel and abroad, and develop position papers to be submitted to both governments. Fast-Track Visa to the U.S.
The Chamber assists its Members with a fast-track service for interviews for visas to the U.S. The service is designated only for business trips. The service includes a fee.

Chamber Boardroom
The Chamber is providing its Members, at a symbolic price, its boardroom on the 8th floor in the America House in Tel Aviv. Up to 18 people can be seated around the table, or up to 35 people in a theatre configuration. Services include a first-rate projector, a "barcode" for presentation purposes. To make use of the boardroom, contact the Chamber.
