Any Suggestions?

The Zeev Grodecki Scholarship Fund, founded by the Chamber, awards an annual research grant, of up to NIS 40,000, to a top-class researcher, or a group of researchers, for a study that would contribute to the knowledge base of business and economic relations between the U.S. and Israel.

This year, we are asking for your suggestions on proposals concerning Israel-U.S. trade and business issues. Following the completion of the study, the researchers will be asked to present their findings to the Fund Board of Directors, Chamber Board of Directors and relevant government officials.

Chamber Committees

The Chamber Board of Directors has established a number of committees as platforms for the Chamber activities:

* Advisory Committee on the Annual Conference in the U.S., headed by the Chairman of the Chamber, Chemi Peres

* Strategy, headed by Chemi Peres

* Energy – Zvi Rome, Chairman

* Cleantech – Booky Oren and Moshe Gaon, co-Chairmen

* Membership – Avi Friedman, Chairman

* Visas – Liam Schwartz, Chairman

Within the Cleantech Committee, the Chamber has initiated a new project concerning water technology, spearheaded by Booky Oren, Member of the Board and co-chair of the Cleantech Committee.

The project, "From Initiation to Actualization," concerns cooperation between Israeli and U.S. water companies, the goal being to introduce innovative technologies to the U.S. public.

Following a meeting with the mayor of Akron, Ohio, and his staff, a professional team arrived in Israel last month to examine opportunities for cooperation with local water entities, in an attempt to create a model to be duplicated elsewhere.
