The Amcham  Healthcare Committee in alliance with the Israel Cancer Association, the National Council for Malignant Diseases, and the Oncology Doctors Association organized a first-of-its-kind professional round-table to discuss and pormote the use of Tumor-Boards in treatment of ocology patients. In attendance were representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Health, the organizing partners, and the majority of the chairpersons of Oncology departments in hospitals from all around the country.

The participants discussed the opportunities and challenges of the Multidisciplinary Meetings (Tumor Boards) and what areas require attention and resources to improve oncology care throughout the healthcare system, both in the center and in the periphey. 

The participants created a Steering Committee whose mission is to organize a broad conference this summer together with all the stakeholders in order to improve the quality of treatment and benefit the oncology patients.
