At an over-subscribed reception dinner held by the Chamber, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and a city’s business delegation met executives of Camber member companies and key organizations.
The Chamber initiated cooperation with the Invest in Israel Authority (רשפ"ת) in order to promote foreign direct investment in Israel and enhance cooperation between investing companies for their benefit and that of the State.
Ziva Eger, Chief Executive of the Authority, met key Chamber members in a round-table discussion where she gave an overview of the new Authority’s structure and goals, and discussed ideas brought by the members regarding the Authority's activities. It was agreed to establish a working committee to facilitate this cooperation.

Several dozen companies attended a seminar hosted by Chamber member BDO in partnership with the Chamber and the U.S. based law-firm Stroock, Stroock & Lavan LLP. Greg Briscoe, the U.S. Embassy's Senior Commercial Officer gave an overview of the Israel-U.S. trade relationship and the SelectUSA program for investing in the U.S. The seminar covered the following topics:

The Chamber, together with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce, co-hosted a unique seminar with Marietta Robinson, Commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Commissioner Robinson presented the organization's activities and areas of responsibility relating to mandatory and voluntary safety standards in consumer products, enforcement and recall. Click on each report to download :

The Israel-America Chamber of Commerce held its 2016 annual Chamber Event Monday, November 7, at the Cinema City, Gelilot.
The event, in the presence of President Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin, was hosted by Chamber chairpersons Ofra Strauss and U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Hon. Daniel Shapiro and was attended by over 400 Chamber Members, leading business people and government officials from Israel and the U.S..
The Chamber, in association with Chamber member S. Horowitz law-firm hosted the Honorable Governor of Utah, Grey Herbert and a business delegation for a festive reception to introduce the Israeli business community to advantages of doing business in Utah.
The Chamber together with the US Embassy's Commercial Service co-led a delegation of 20 Israeli companies to the annual Select USA Summit.
The Summit, the largest to date, was attended by over 2,800 delegates from 64 countries with senior representatives of federal and all 50 U.S. States economic development agencies.
Eight Israeli Food-Tech companies travelled on a delegation led by the Chamber and organized in collaboration with the Israeli Economic Mission in San Francisco, Chamber member – KPMG, the Foodtech incubator TheKitchen, and sponsored by the Export Institute and the Israel Innovation Authority.
The eight hand-picked companies: AclarTech, DouxMatok, Flying Spark, Innovopro, Inspecto, NextFerm, Valiber, Water.io aimed to expose the vibrant Israeli Food-Tech industry to the investment community in California and elsewhere in the U.S., and to potential partners in the food industry and its supply chain.
The delegation members participated in a newly created FoodTech track at the Israel Dealmakers Summit where they presented their companies in front of a packed hall, to investors, potential partners and others.
The delegation also participated at the Future Food-Tech San Francisco Conference, and at a special breakfast meeting with Bay area investors. It ended in a educational-visit at the Impossible Foods organized by TheKitchen CEO Jonathan Berger. Overall the delegation had over 120 targeted one-on-one meetings in a packed and very successful 4-day program.
The Chamber led a delegation of Israeli water technology companies to the BusinessH2O Summit organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Summit: Water Management Best Practices from the U.S. and Israel was held in Las Vegas. Chamber CEO Oded Rose hosted a panel where all the companies in the delegation had a chance to present their solutions for the water problems faced by water utilities and users. Several companies signed agreements for beta sites and product trials during the Summit.
