The Honorable Governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds was our special guest of honor at a breakfast seminar where dozens of companies interested in expanding to Iowa participated.

The Chamber in association with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce hosted a delegation of senior business and state officials for a presentation of the advantages of setting up a business in RI.  The Chamber in partnership with Chamber member WeWork and the State of Rhode Island is launching a partnership to bring business people from the state to Tel Aviv for 2-3 week courses on entrepreneurship and innovation.

Round Table with Brooklyn Business Delegation

The Chamber in collaboration with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce hosted a business delegation organized by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce along with chamber board member and New York State’s Israel Representative,  Mr. Gerry Stoch.  The Delegates met with Israeli companies to discuss mutual business opportunities.

Chamber Chair Ofra Strauss, joined by Chamber Board members and Chamber Priority Club members hosted departing U.S. Ambassador Daniel Shapiro for a farewell breakfast.

The Chamber in collaboration with the Federation of Israeli Chambers hosted a Roundtable Discussion with Skip Jones, U.S. Department of Commerce, on the Business Climate in Israel and Impediments for Importing U.S. Goods. In a well-attended meeting the Israeli companies identified several obstacles such as standards and asked Mr. Jones and the U.S. Commercial Attaché, Mr. Greg Briscoe to accelerate the effort for the removal of such barriers and support the import of U.S. goods to Israel. 

Chamber member The Israel –U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation announced a new Call for Proposals for the "NextGen First Responder Technologies" to promote and fund U.S.-Israel joint development in advanced technologies for First Responders. The total investment will be $12M while each project can receive a conditional grant of up to 50% of their joint R&D budget, to a maximum $1M per project.
