Chamber Tax Committee Submits its Evaluation to the Ministry of Treasury

Following a recent (4/16) Circular by the Israeli Tax Authority that changed an existing interpretation of the international convention on taxation of internet business, the Chamber reconstituted its  Taxation Committee. This is in response to requests from several Chamber members in this sector.

The Committee, headed by Deloitte partner Mr. Yitzhak (Chicko) Chickorel, addressed the issue with a comprehensive study of the currently prevailing situation in the OECD countries compared to Israel.  This study shows where Israel now differs from the convention and what effects this may have on the industry if this differentiation continues.

The paper is being used as a basis for on-going discussions with the Tax and other relevant Authorities. For a copy of the paper please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
